Prime Minister Hun Manet Presides Over Graduation Ceremony for South East Asia University

Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Maha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, will preside over the graduation ceremony for 1,500 outstanding graduates of South East Asia University on the morning of July 21, 2026. The ceremony will be held at the Sokha Siem Reap Hotel in Siem Reap province, where graduates will receive associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. South East Asia University, a private higher education institution established under Sub-Decree No. 63 ANK.BK dated July 7, 2006, operates with the encouragement of the Cambodian government. This initiative aligns with the government's policy, under the wise leadership of former Prime Minister and current President of the Senate, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, to allow the private education sector to participate in human resource development from kindergarten to higher education, thereby contributing to national development. The university aims to cultivate human resources with the necessary capacities and good conduct to meet the demands of the national and international job markets, enabling them to work and thrive in the era of globalization and the knowledge society. It offers programs leading to associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. As of July 7, 2026, South East Asia University marks its 20th anniversary. Today's ceremony therefore serves a dual purpose: celebrating the graduation of 1,500 students and commemorating the university's two decades of operation. To enhance educational quality in line with the strategic plans of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Cambodian government's "First Phase Pentagon Strategy," South East Asia University has established clear visions, missions, strategic plans, training plans, and action plans for its associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs, aiming to contribute to national development.
