Lippo Mall Nusantara is set to host 'Nusantara Spotlight: Icon Search 2026,' a modeling talent search event commemorating Indonesian Independence Day. The initiative aims to uncover the next generation of icons and provide a platform for young individuals to explore their potential.
JAKARTA - In the near future, the modeling talent search event, Nusantara Spotlight: Icon Search 2026 will be held. This event is held by Lippo Mall Nusantara to commemorate Indonesian Independence Day and is part of the Cantika Nusantara series of programs. The event is a stage for young people to express their potential, develop their characters, and gain career opportunities in the modeling and fashion industry. "Through Nusantara Spotlight, we want to present more than just a modeling competition. We designed this event as a platform for young people to explore their potential, build confidence, and pave the way to the professional modeling industry," said Lippo Mall Nusantara Mall Director, Hiu Mulyawati, at a press conference, Wednesday, July 29, 2026. This event will present a selection of quality, involving leading names in the fashion, modeling and entertainment industries. Starting from Misan Kopaka (Vice Chairman APPMI), Ary Arka (Fashion Designer), and Danar Astohari (Coordinator of Models, IFW) for the elimination chapter. Then in the Grand Final round, the assessment was carried out by Bunga Jelitha (Puteri Indonesia 2017), Anggi Wirya Diputra (Director of JFW), Jean Charlie (Beehave Artist Management), Salsabila Zahra (Actress & Ex Finalist Plangi Model Hunt), and Keke Suryo (Founder LOOK Academy). As one of the judges, Bunga Jelitha reminded that to enter the professional modeling world is not enough just with appearance. He said that having the right and good attitude is also an important element for a model. This is because in doing their work, a model usually works with many people, so good attitudes are needed. Therefore, it is hoped that the participants will have this attitude in themselves. "We work together with designers, there are choreographers, there are also photographers, all kinds. So we have to be able to put ourselves together with our teams," said Bunga Jelitha. Meanwhile, Nusantara Spotlight 2026 is open to four age categories, namely Kids (4-7 years), Junior (8-12 years), Teen (13-19 years), and Adult (20-26 years), each for Male and Female categories. All of these competition series start from July 9 - August 8, 2026 for registration, to the Grand Final on August 17, 2026.
