Indonesia, CEPI Test 100-Day Vaccine Rollout in Pandemic Drill

Indonesia, in collaboration with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), has conducted a large-scale pandemic drill simulating a vaccine rollout within 100 days of an outbreak. This exercise is designed to bolster Indonesia's capacity to respond to future epidemic crises. The drill simulated the entire process from vaccine development and manufacturing to transportation and rapid distribution to the public. Particular focus was placed on verifying the logistics and infrastructure necessary to ensure equitable and swift access to vaccines across the nation, from development to approval in emergency situations. Given Indonesia's vast archipelago and geographically dispersed population, equitable vaccine distribution has always been a significant challenge. This drill provided a valuable opportunity to refine strategies for overcoming these hurdles and ensuring vaccines reliably reach all regions within the country. The importance of international partnerships was also reaffirmed.
