Vietnam-Canada Strategic Partnership Deepens Mutual Understanding

During his state visit to Canada, on September 24 (local time), Vietnamese President and General Secretary of the Communist Party Tô Lâm delivered a policy speech titled “Vietnam-Canada Strategic Partnership in a Volatile Global Context” at the Canadian Parliament. In his address, General Secretary Tô Lâm emphasized that the 'Strategic Partnership' between Vietnam and Canada serves as a crucial framework for further deepening mutual understanding between the two nations. He particularly pointed out that this partnership is a foundation contributing to stability and development amidst the increasingly complex and fluid international situation. Furthermore, he advocated for the necessity of strengthening cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade, investment, security, and climate change response. The visit reaffirmed that Canada is an important partner for Vietnam, and both countries share common values and mutual interests.
