Cambodia Cracks Down on Online Scams, Uncovers Numerous Foreigners Overstaying Visas
Phnom Penh authorities conducted surprise checks on condominiums, hotels, and other residential buildings on May 31st as part of a crackdown on online scams. The operation inspected 80 locations, identifying 1,354 foreigners, 16 of whom were found to be overstaying their visas. Suspicious equipment potentially used in scams was also discovered.
