Chin Lay military outpost in Hpaungzay town attacked with 4 rockets, 5 soldiers including 1 officer killed, 1 bar destroyed by fire

Yangon, July 16 Revolutionary joint forces attacked the Chin Lay military outpost in Hpaungzay Township, Bago Region with rockets, killing 5 soldiers including one officer and injuring no less than 10, while also destroying one bar within the outpost by fire, according to Ye Baw Zaw Nyi Thway, the military in charge of the Pyu District People's Defence Force (PDF), who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News Agency. It is known that on July 14, around 4 AM, the Pyu District PDF Special Attack Force under the command of Division 21, along with the Hpaungzay Township PDF and the Pyu District Regiment (1) Regimental Office Team, jointly attacked the Chin Lay military outpost in Hpaungzay Township with 4 rockets. It is understood that the operation was meticulously planned, bypassing the junta forces' surveillance posts, and accurately hit the target. During the attack, 5 soldiers, including one officer, were killed, and no less than 10 were injured, according to the Pyu District PDF. Furthermore, it is also known that the impact and explosion of the rockets caused one bar within the outpost to catch fire and be destroyed, and inflicted damage within the junta forces' stronghold. "We entered and attacked the military outpost from between 4 surveillance posts. We fired 4 rockets, killing 5 soldiers including 1 officer from the junta side. No less than 10 were injured, and one bar inside the outpost was destroyed by fire," said Ye Baw Zaw Nyi Thway, the military in charge of the Pyu District PDF. Following the attack, it is known that the junta forces launched intense retaliatory fire on the surrounding areas using not only heavy and small arms but also drones. However, the Pyu District PDF stated that the revolutionary joint forces were able to retreat safely and without any casualties, in accordance with the pre-planned operation. There were no casualties on the revolutionary side. This attack is one of the operations in which the revolutionary joint forces have been continuously targeting the junta's strongholds in the western Bago Region, and it was carried out with the aim of impacting the military activities of the junta forces.
