Cambodia Approves 37 New Investment Projects Worth $233 Million, Boosting Employment

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) announced on September 9, 2026, that it has approved 37 new investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately $233 million. These projects are expected to create around 23,000 job opportunities. In August of this year, the CDC and the Regional/Municipal Investment Committees (RDIC) registered a total of 37 investment projects. Among these, 27 projects approved by the CDC represent an investment capital of approximately $198 million and are expected to create about 17,000 jobs. Meanwhile, 10 projects approved by the RDIC amount to an investment of approximately $35 million and are projected to generate around 6,000 jobs. During the first eight months of 2026, Cambodia continues to attract quality investment projects, with significant growth in investment capital particularly in the infrastructure and tourism sectors. The industrial sector remains the leading area for attracting investment. This trend indicates that Cambodia's investment climate continues to show positive signs and maintain high resilience. It also reflects investor confidence in the government's ongoing efforts to promote business and investment activities.
