A 35-year-old woman, identified as L, the wife of a police officer, has died from a gunshot wound in Medan Helvetia district, Medan City, North Sumatra. The incident, which occurred in Cinta Damai sub-district, has caused shock among local residents. According to Sulaiman, the head of neighborhood (Kepling) VIII in Cinta Damai sub-district, he first received information about the incident from the Medan Helvetia Police around 5:30 PM on Sunday (July 2). He was reportedly informed of suspicious activity. "The first information we received was a phone call from Helvetia Police at 5:30 PM," Sulaiman said on Monday (August 3). "They said there was suspicious activity." Sulaiman stated that when he arrived at the scene about an hour after receiving the call, it was already swarming with police officers and forensic teams. The initial information he gathered suggested it was a suicide. "So, they just asked for the location. Then we arrived about an hour later. But the police were already crowded there. The information we got was that it was a suicide," he said. The victim's body was later evacuated by ambulance to Bhayangkara Hospital Medan for further examination. "When I arrived last night, the forensic team was already there, the police were all complete, and the body was being put into an ambulance to be taken to Bhayangkara Hospital Medan," he elaborated.
