BMKG is also observing geomagnetic disturbances and volcanic lightning, but their intensity has decreased compared to the previous night. BMKG, in collaboration with relevant agencies such as the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the Ministry of Transportation, is continuing the weather modification operation (OMC) that began on September 7. This operation involves cloud seeding and water mist spraying from aircraft, aiming to further reduce volcanic ash concentration in the atmosphere.
