Cambodia's NIB Offers Over 1,000 Scholarships for Vocational Training to Poor and Vulnerable Youth

The National Institute of Business (NIB) has announced the provision of 1,035 scholarship opportunities for vocational training across 10 specialized fields, targeting youth from poor and vulnerable families. This initiative is part of the government's 'TVET 1.5M' program, which also includes monthly stipends for eligible recipients. According to NIB, the 10 specialized fields offered include Computer Graphic Design, Computer Services, Administrative Services, Customer Services, Digital Technology Installation and Application, Computer Network Installation and Maintenance, Business Creation and Entrepreneurship, Online Sales Services, Confectionery Production, and Beverage Business. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be at least 15 years old and possess a Cambodian national identity card or birth certificate. Furthermore, students who present a social protection card (poverty card level 1 or level 2) or a vulnerable family identification card will receive additional monthly stipends. The institute plans to commence training courses consecutively from early August and will begin accepting registrations from the date of this announcement.
