Yangon-Dagon University train service begins

To facilitate the smooth travel of passengers and students, the Yangon-Taukkyan Kalay-Dagon University train service has commenced operations starting September 1st, according to Myanma Railways. The train operates with a battery locomotive and six regular carriages, with a capacity of 62 passengers per carriage. To accommodate the commuting needs of Dagon University students, the train departs from Yangon Station at 6:15 AM and is scheduled to arrive at Dagon University Station at 7:30 AM. Subsequently, it will depart from Dagon University Station at 3:15 PM and arrive at Yangon Station at 4:35 PM. Other trains will also operate according to their scheduled timetables, making stops at Puzun Taung, Mala Gon, Ninse Gon, Thangyan Kyun, Ngamoe Latt, and Taukkyan Kalay stations along the route. The ticket price for any route is 500 Kyats per person. Furthermore, if the number of passengers and students using the Yangon-Dagon University train service increases, additional train services will be provided.
