Yangon-Dagon University train service begins

To facilitate convenient travel for passengers and students, the Yangon-Tojokale-Dagon University train service has been operating since September 1, according to Myanma Railways. The service utilizes a train set comprising a battery locomotive and six ordinary carriages, with each carriage capable of accommodating 62 passengers. To ensure students of Dagon University can attend classes on time, the train departs from Yangon Station at 6:15 AM and is scheduled to arrive at Dagon University Station at 7:30 AM. Subsequently, it will depart from Dagon University Station at 3:15 PM and is expected to reach Yangon Station at 4:35 PM. Other trains will also operate according to their fixed schedules, making stops at Puzantown, Malagon, Ninsagon, Thangyoon, Ngamoeyit, and Tojokale stations along the route. The train fare is 500 Kyat per person for any station. Furthermore, it has been reported that if passenger and student numbers increase on the Yangon-Dagon University train service, additional trains will be added to the schedule.
