Cambodia, ASEAN & ASEAN+3 Pledge to Build People-Centric Public Services

On the morning of August 5, 2026, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call and held discussions with an ASEAN public service delegation led by Mr. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, Head of the National Public Service Agency of Indonesia. Prime Minister Hun Manet highly valued Cambodia's theme of "Innovation for Better Public Service Delivery," stating that it reflects ASEAN's collective commitment to building a responsive, efficient, and people-centric public service across the region. He also emphasized readiness to continue close cooperation with Cambodia and other ASEAN member states for the benefit of the region's citizens. In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed and thanked the delegation for their participation, noting that their presence at this important meeting reflects the commitment of ASEAN member states to connect and enhance the ASEAN public service sector. Concurrently, the Prime Minister recalled the significance of public service development and the process of public service reform in Cambodia, which focuses on strengthening institutions and innovation to meet citizens' demands for public services. He highlighted that this reform aims to establish accountability and transparency, as well as integrate technology to reduce complex procedures and bureaucracy in public service delivery. Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed strong confidence that the meeting will conclude with fruitful outcomes through the sharing of best practices and the strengthening of cooperation in the public service sector among ASEAN and ASEAN+3 member countries.
