NA President Visits ROK, Mongolia to Boost Ties

National Assembly (NA) President Tran Thanh Man is undertaking official visits to the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Mongolia, aiming to deepen relations with both countries. These visits reaffirm the importance the Vietnamese Party, State, and NA attach to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the RoK and the Comprehensive Partnership with Mongolia. The primary objectives include strengthening political trust and discussing specific measures to translate high-level agreements into concrete outcomes. Particular emphasis is placed on fostering breakthroughs in economic, trade, and investment cooperation, especially by effectively leveraging the new pillar of science and technology collaboration. President Tran Thanh Man highlighted the significant contributions of Korean non-governmental organizations, associations, scientists, and businesses to major achievements in Vietnam-ROK relations over the years. Both host and guest agreed that parliamentary diplomacy plays an important role in bilateral relations, helping consolidate political trust, promote and oversee the implementation of high-level agreements, and thereby make a positive contribution to peace, stability, and cooperation in the region and the world. These trips are significant for implementing Vietnam's foreign policy and concretizing agreements reached by Vietnamese senior leaders with the two partners. The visits to the RoK and Mongolia are expected to usher in a new phase of development for the relationships, leading to stronger, more substantive, and enduring progress, thereby meeting the aspirations of the leaders and peoples of all three nations. Through these visits, Vietnam reiterates its commitment and desire to further advance its comprehensive strategic partnership with the RoK and comprehensive partnership with Mongolia in an increasingly substantive, effective, and sustainable manner.
