National Assembly Chairman Embarks on Official Visits to South Korea and Mongolia

The official visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK) by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man underscores the consistent importance that the Party, State, and National Assembly of Vietnam place on the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The visit aims not only to bolster political trust but also to discuss concrete measures for translating high-level agreements into tangible outcomes. These trips affirm Vietnam's commitment and desire to further advance its comprehensive strategic partnership with the RoK and its comprehensive partnership with Mongolia in an increasingly substantive, effective, and sustainable manner. Scheduled for September 6–11, these visits are significant for implementing the foreign policy outlined by the 14th National Party Congress and Politburo Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW, while concretizing the orientations and agreements reached by Vietnam's senior leaders with the two partners. Under Vietnam's one-party system, foreign policy is guided by the Party to enhance national development and international standing. Strengthening ties with neighbors like South Korea and Mongolia is a strategic move for Vietnam, especially given its complex relationship with China, aiming to achieve both economic growth and security. Parliamentary diplomacy complements high-level and government diplomacy, playing a crucial role in consolidating political trust, promoting and overseeing the implementation of high-level agreements, and contributing positively to peace, stability, and cooperation in the region and the world. The visits are expected to usher in a new phase of development that is stronger, more substantive, and more enduring, meeting the aspirations of the leaders and peoples of all three nations.
