Cambodia and France to Co-Organise Business Forum to Strengthen Economic Ties

The Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia (CCIFC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to co-organise the third Cambodia-France Business Forum, scheduled for November 16-17, 2026 in Phnom Penh. The MOU signing ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, with the participation of senior officials and representatives of the Ministry of Commerce and CCIFC. H.E. Tith Seychanly, Director General of the Directorate-General of Trade Policy and Promotion, and Mr. Julien Bert, Vice President of CCIFC, signed the MOU, which defines the roles and responsibilities of both parties in coordinating preparations, business participation, and programme development. According to a joint press release made public after the signing ceremony, the Cambodia-France Business Forum serves as a key platform for strengthening economic relations between the two countries, promoting strategic partnerships, and creating opportunities for companies, institutions, and investors operating in Cambodia and beyond. The two-day forum will begin with a high-level opening session attended by senior political leaders from Cambodia and France, along with government dignitaries. The session is expected to bring together around 400 Cambodian and French business executives, investors, and representatives of relevant institutions. The second day will focus on business-to-business engagement, sectoral discussions, investment opportunities, and networking, enabling companies from both countries to explore partnerships, exchange expertise, and identify new areas of cooperation. The 2026 edition will place particular emphasis on practical business opportunities and high-level exchanges, including targeted B2B meetings between French and Cambodian companies based on their business needs and interests. Ministerial workshops and business-to-government (B2G) sessions will also provide opportunities for companies to engage directly with Cambodian ministers and authorities on regulatory matters, investment opportunities, and sector development. In addition, sector-specific roundtables will bring together Cambodian and French business leaders, experts, and decision-makers to discuss strategic sectors and explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation. The Ministry of Commerce and CCIFC reaffirmed their shared commitment to facilitating trade, promoting sustainable investment, and expanding business opportunities between Cambodia and France. They also expressed appreciation to sponsors and partners for their support in making the third Cambodia-France Business Forum possible and contributing to stronger economic cooperation between the two countries.
