Duterte-Padilla Tandem Leads Over Robredo-Aquino in Hypothetical Philippine Presidential Poll

A hypothetical tandem of Vice President Sara Duterte and Senator Robin Padilla would lead over the pairing of Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo and Senator Bam Aquino in a projected Philippine presidential election, according to key findings from the latest Tugon ng Masa (TNM) nationwide survey by OCTA Research. The non-commissioned, independent, and non-partisan poll indicated that the Duterte–Padilla team garnered 48% of support, a 12-point lead over the Robredo-Aquino tandem which secured 36%. Undecided voters accounted for 16% of respondents. This 12-point gap is reportedly the narrowest recorded between the two tandems to date. Previous commissioned surveys in 2025 had shown a wider margin of approximately 20 to 25 points, suggesting a narrowing trend as the 2028 elections approach. The survey fieldwork was conducted from July 4 to 11, 2026, involving face-to-face interviews with 1,200 probability respondents aged 18 and above nationwide. The poll has a margin of error of ±3% at a 95% confidence level nationally, and ±6% for subnational estimates covering Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
