Salceda Appointed Chief of Presidential Legislative Liaison Office

Malacañang confirmed on Tuesday that President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has appointed former Albay Representative Joey S. Salceda as the head of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO). "Confirmed," Palace Press Officer Clarissa A. Castro told reporters. The PLLO serves as the primary liaison between the Executive branch and Congress, coordinating the administration's legislative agenda with lawmakers. Mr. Salceda previously chaired the House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee and was instrumental in authoring several tax reform measures during his tenure. "The most important resource of this administration is time," he said in a statement.
