Salceda Appointed Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Chief

MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has designated former Albay Rep. Joey Salceda as chief of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), with the rank of secretary. Malacañang confirmed Salcedo’s appointment on Tuesday, more than a month after the veteran Bicolano lawmaker hinted at “taking a very high position in the administration.” As the new PLLO head, Salceda shall serve as the conduit between Mr. Marcos and Congress, tasked primarily with monitoring the progress and eventual passage of priority bills.
