Kampong Cham Province Launches Livestock Vaccination Campaign

Kampong Cham Provincial Governor Oun Chanda launched a vaccination campaign for livestock, particularly cattle and buffalo, in Kaong Meas district on July 20, 2026. The initiative aims to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, which tend to surge during the rainy season. Governor Chanda urged residents to bring their animals for free vaccinations, emphasizing the importance of protecting livestock health for family economic stability and overall public well-being. He instructed local authorities to disseminate information and encourage community participation. The governor also advised residents to report any unusual signs of illness in their animals to village veterinary officials or district livestock officers for timely intervention and treatment, thereby preventing widespread outbreaks. Furthermore, he reminded citizens to maintain good hygiene around their homes to prevent infectious diseases, especially dengue fever.
