Cambodia Red Cross Reiterates Importance of Humanitarian Aid with Kampong Thom Branch Anniversary Event

On the afternoon of Sunday, July 19, 2026, the Kampong Thom Provincial Red Cross Branch of Cambodia organized a ceremony to celebrate the 163rd anniversary of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, May 8, 2026. The event, held under the theme "Continue to Unite Our Forces for Humanity," was presided over by His Excellency Vongsey Vissoth, Honorary President of the Cambodian Red Cross, Kampong Thom Provincial Branch, and His Excellency Noun Pharat, Chairman of the Provincial Branch Committee. Approximately 400 participants, including excellencies, ladies, neak oknha, oknha, officials, members of the branch's honorary committee, the branch committee, district and provincial sub-branches, relevant ministries, Red Cross youth, volunteers, and philanthropists from all walks of life in the Kampong Thom Provincial Administration, attended the event at the provincial hall's conference room. During the occasion, His Excellency Noun Pharat, Chairman of the Provincial Branch Committee, presented the achievements successfully implemented by the branch in 2025, with the support and mobilization of funds from philanthropists. After receiving a summary report of the 2025 activities, His Excellency Vongsey Vissoth, Honorary President of the Cambodian Red Cross, Kampong Thom Provincial Branch, expressed his profound gratitude for the generous support of His Excellencies, Ladies, Neak Oknha, Oknha, officials, and philanthropists from all sectors who have personally donated funds to the Cambodian Red Cross, Kampong Thom Provincial Branch. He pledged that these donations would be carefully utilized to serve humanitarian activities for the most vulnerable citizens and those affected by various disasters, especially the families of injured and fallen combatants, in line with the theme "Continue to Unite Our Forces for Humanity." His Excellency Vongsey Vissoth further stated that participation and support for humanitarian work through the Cambodian Red Cross, Kampong Thom Provincial Branch, on this occasion is indeed valuable in promoting the spirit and culture of sharing and solidarity between philanthropists and beneficiaries.
