Myanmar President to Visit Cambodia for State Visit, Strengthening Ties and Cooperation

H.E. U Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, will pay a State Visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from Sept. 11 to 12, 2026, at the invitation of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of Cambodia. According to a press release issued this afternoon by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during the visit, H.E. U Min Aung Hlaing will hold a summit meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, Acting Head of State, and hold bilateral talks with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The leaders of the two countries will discuss ways to strengthen their close relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as exchange views on various regional and international issues of common interest. The President of Myanmar will lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and at the Royal Statue of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah NORODOM SIHANOUK "PREAH BOROM RATANAK KAUDH", the late King-Father of Cambodia. “The State Visit of H.E. U Min Aung Hlaing reaffirms the shared commitment to further strengthening the warm bonds of friendship between the two countries and peoples,” the press release emphasised.
